CISUC researchers develop revolutionary algorithm
DENSER - Deep Evolutionary Network Structured Representation
Four researchers from the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC), Bernardete Ribeiro, Penousal Machado, Nuno Lourenço and Filipe Assunção, developed an avant-garde approach to automate learning processes in the field of computer vision.
They developed a new artificial intelligence algorithm for the evolution of the so-called deep neural networks (which mimic the behavior of the brain). DENSER, acronym for Deep Evolutionary Network Structured Representation (https://cdv.dei.uc.pt/denser/), may well revolutionize how to respond to the problem of sorting image content.
