Invited Speaker: Alexandre Pinto
Title: Citizen AI - Responsible Artificial Intelligence Applications in Industry
Abstract: Deploying AI is now about more than training it to perform a given task. It’s about “raising” it to act as a responsible representative of the business, and a contributing member of society. In this short talk we’ll discuss the main concerns about the Ethical and Societal impacts of AI, the need for transparency and accountability of AI agents, with various grades of explainability needed. We’ll illustrate how Accenture addresses these issues with a couple of concrete examples.
Short bio: Alexandre Miguel Pinto is Associate Director at Accenture Technology – Portugal. He’s a former Professor at Universidade de Coimbra (DEI-FCTUC) and at Universidade de Lisboa (DI-FCUL), and AI researcher since 2002 with focus on Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, and Computational Logic.
