CISUC Researchers win at MIREX 2012
CISUC researchers Rui Pedro Paiva and Renato Panda win award at the prestigious MIREX 2012.
CISUC researchers Professor Rui Pedro Paiva and PhD student Renato Panda, are the winners of this year´s MIREX edition in the category of Audio Train/Test: Mood Classification.
The MIREX (Music Information Retrieval Evaluation eXchange) is an international event, organized every year since 2004, by the scientific community of Music Information Retrieval (MIR). The main goal of this event is to compare the performance of several algorithms in several MIR tasks. After a close competition with other projects, the algorithm devised by CISUC researchers Rui Pedro Paiva and Renato Panda obtained the overall best results. Congratulations!
