Short Bio
Rui Gomes holds a MSc in Informatics Engineering and a PhD in Transportation Systems from the MIT-Portugal Program (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto - FEUP). He is Post-Doctoral Researcher at Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. He was a Visiting Graduate Student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2011 and Invited Assistant Professor at FEUP between 2008 and 2012. His main research interests are transportations systems, combinatorial optimisation problems and metaheuristics.
