DenseNet: Efficient Communication in Dense Networks
Description
Large-Scale Highly-Dense Networks will emerge to support the IoX (Internet of Everything) vision where there will be a massive
number of low power devices performing sensing/actuation on different targets and relaying/forwarding information over different
and dynamic topologies (star, mesh, ad-hoc) as well as ultra-dense radio technologies, device-to-device communications, dynamic
spectrum utilization and radio access infrastructure sharing. This highly dense heterogeneous networking scenario can cause a rapid
exhaustion on node’s resources and reduce the device and network lifetime due to the huge amounts of data generated and that
needs to be transferred across the network.
The focus of the DenseNet project is to study the scalability and survivability (node and network) problems in highly dense
networking scenarios.
