Lessons Learned from a Real Wireless Sensor Network Deployment

Authors

Abstract

The Wireless Sensor Networks are a relative new concept, and only nowadays, these types of networks are being deployed in real-environments. However, observing the literature regarding technical sensor placement, few documentation is provided. There is no documentation about the relationship between the algorithms designed or simulated and real-deployment scenarios. This paper aims to study different real-life placements strategies of sensor nodes into a monitored area and their organization in the field.
