Teaching Production Planning and Control to Informatics Engineering Students

Abstract
A course on Production Planning and Control for Informatics Engineering students is presented and discussed. It is an elective course in a two years MsC degree. Its syllabus covers the main subjects for production management and control (forecasting, problem solving, aggregate planning, inventory control, master plan, MRP, push and pull systems, ERP/CRM) and it is the single course in the domain in the MsC degree. It follows an active learning approach to stimulate the student?s involvement
