Fuzzy Control as the Entrance Door to Control Theory

Abstract

Control Systems have a more and more important role in our lives. The future of human kind depends largely on the space exploration, and autonomous intelligent controlled systems will be the key of its success. However the control field has become largely unpopular in universities and it is more and more difficult to attract young bright students to research in the field. The first university course on control is decisive to fix attraction level of the field. Fuzzy logic can be used to face control as a challenging game well adapted to the way of thinking of young generations. A proposal is developed here and some experience is reported
