Authors
Abstract
The article discusses how the concepts of emergence and complex adaptative systems introduce a shift of paradigm in the Historical Sciences. The paper introduces a simple agent based model that shows how simple rules can produce complex evolution patterns. A set of pratical consequences is derived from the new paradigm in the form of principles that should be present in concrete Historical Research.
