Progress towards web-based Electronic Committees in the CEN/INES project (Internet Network for European Standardization)

Abstract

INES (Internet Network for European Standardization) is a European project, supported by the European Commission, involving the National Standardization Bodies (NSBs) of CEN, with 10 NSBs and CEN/CS as active members with AFNOR's overall project management. INES aims to extend the use of electronic information systems, by employing Internet technology, to allow CEN and its national members to provide a more visible, friendly, open and productive European standardization service. It is intended to support traditional standardization activities and also involvement in the new workshop and common interest consortia approaches.
