Abstract
Currently, most of the automated Traffic Engineering (TE) techniques with BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) rely on selfish routing approaches. The limitation of a selfish routing scheme is that it is unable to anticipate the performance effect on downstream domains due to uncoordinated routing decisions. This paper is concerned with Inter-domain Quality of Service Routing (QoSR) issues. It presents and discusses an approach for coordinated Inter-domain QoSR decisions to protect domains against SLS (Service Level Specifications) violations and undesired effects on downstream domains.Subject
