Teaching Mathematics supported by a web-based project and real data

Abstract

This paper presents some of the contents of a web-based project which main theme - the study of the Sun ' allows for the introduction, review or practice of mathematical or sciences curricular contents in an experimental way using real data. This project is tailored to be used in the classroom using on-line resources and has already been implemented during the last school year (2007/2008) at about 30 Portuguese schools.
