Multi-Agent Based Architecture for Robust Supervision over Wireless Sensor Networks

Authors

Abstract

The paper focuses on developing a multi-agent architecture in the context of wireless sensor networks. A particular topology is proposed, and general characteristics of agents described, namely, their tasks and services, as well as communication and coordination mechanisms. A global multi-agent supervising system is integrated in the middleware architecture, enabling when necessary, the regeneration of faulty local agents, by sending their clones to the sensor node, where the faulty agent is replaced. In this way, the overall multi-agent system performance is guaranteed, since the agent?s tasks are accordingly accomplished.
