Short Bio

A.S. Almeida has a Degree in Informatics Engineering from the University of Coimbra, since 1993.

From 1997 until 2007, she was the Executive Director of Laboratory of Informatics and systems of Instituto Pedro Nunes, an Association for Science and Technology Transfer, providing research-based solutions and services to its Clients and Partners.

Over the past 12 years she is conducting her own entrepreneurial experience, acting has CEO of Tapestry Software, a consulting company for the design, development and validation of interactive information services and systems.

Main research interests are on the practice approach to the Design and Development of Interactive Digital Systems and Services, in areas of Culture, Heritage, Arts and Education.

An assumed lifelong learner, she currently crosses bridges between the research fields of Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design Thinking and Experience Design.
